Can post more images if you want. If anyone knows what the other fungus growing in the first image is it would be nice to know.

If this grew in my part of the world, I'd call it Amanita gemmata. It doesn't fit 100%, but maybe it is a closely related species. Very beautiful mushroom whatever it is!

Beautiful indeed! It caught my eye popping out under a leaf. I tried to key it and could not find anything remotely close to it that grows around here. Amanita's are a head ache. Would a cross section help at all? I have not noted any bruising really but that is the best way to tell if it bruises right?

The bottom 2 mushrooms in the second image of my first post seem to have thinner stems on them and they curve. Are they the same species even?

I think I am going to call them Amanita var. confusita.

I think you can safely call them Amanita gemmata var. something.

It does seem to be by far the closest related species I've come across. Amanita Amerirubescens (or whatever it is now called) looked kind of similar in some pictures by not in others. I now see why there is so much debate over and renaming with this genus.
