Yeah that doesnt look so good, but it is probably due to your not having a dry verm layer on the top

The Dry verm layer at the top helps stop any contams that do manage to make their way through.

I'd suggest Mushroomvideos.com. This has all the information you need to get started. I'd highly recommend following what he tells you to do to the T. It'll teach you all the basics.

It's a pin mold. See how all those threads have a little white ball on the tip. That ball will eventually change color, usually black. Probably some other molds in there too.
