I hav 2 Qs:
1-why dont ppl use wbs as bulk and only as spawn?
2-is it possible to use wbs as bulk substrate?

It doesn't really hold moisture all that well compared to typical bulk subs. Also it doesn't have ideal nutrients. You'll get a lot better results using actual substrate. Also preparing a lot of grain is a lot more work then preparing most bulk subs. So it only makes sense to spawn it since it saves you work and gets better results anyways.
You can use just grain though it will work, just not ideal.

1, You have to shake it to get it out of the jar which breaks it up anyway. And as above it hardly holds water by itself.
2. Kind of but I would do it in-vitro just put a lid with more gas exchange and dunk the wbs prior to the new in-vitro lid and they will fruit but the yield will be crap.

I would think WBS is only used as spawn instead of bulk substrate because of the high nutrients. Successfully using it as bulk without contamination would be extremely hard.

i had really bad experiences with wbs substrates, its like a really harsh experience. not magical at all.

People used to get around the poor moisture retention by doing something called the "rez effect"
It fell out of style well before I started though, but I think bulk subs (coir/verm, hpoo/verm, etc.) just yield better and are easier? Not entirely sure.

Umm, to me it looks like he's just mixing grains with bulk substrate and casing it.

Grains are more nutritious than bulk substrates. Bulk substrates are primarily used for their capacity to hold water while also being nutritious and having things like Nitrogen in them. So when you say that WBS doesn't have ideal nutrients, if you are implying that bulk substrates have more nutrients than WBS then that is not true.

this is a simple question
you cant safely pasteurize in a reasonable amount of time (if at all) which leaves us to sterilization which is just as good as unsterilized substrate when it comes to bulk.
your best bet would be to use wbs in cake form like pf tek although that wouldn't be to ideal either.

All he's mixing it with is verm and then double end "casing" with more verm and coir. Rez effect usually was just mixing grain and verm, sometimes being cased.

I never said more nutrients I said Ideal. You mentioned the nitrogen yourself. I think you know what I meant no need to split hairs.

Because it holds very little moisture and performs sub-par compared to bulk substrate.

Absolutely!
You will want to case the grains with something is all.
Here is a bag of WBS with a 50/50+ casing layer in my mini-GH.
