Regaee

Im starting to really love good regaee. I have lots of live Bob Marley stuff, and its all really badass.... I love the positive vibes cuz I need more of that in my life.

Anyhow, I want to hear as much as possible. I've always loved Sublime's basslines, and now I realize they borrowed alot of those low-end sounds from regaee.

What artists do yall recommend?

(Dub is the instrumental remixes of existing stuff.
Bass and funny sounds. King Tubby. Keith Hudson.

Dancehall is probably the stuff you heard that
sounded like rap. It's digital and they talk about
vaginas and sometimes guns and they use the same
tracks a million times. Bounty Killer. Sizzla.)

White kids who smoke weed and own Legend will
also enjoy: Big Youth, U-Roy, Burning Spear, The
Abyssinians.

Everyone has got to start somewhere, and Legend is a fine place to start out on Marley. Obviously your pass the Legend stage since you own some live Bob. For good reggae, check out Burning Spear, Inner Circle, and any of Bobs sons and daughters. ( Stephen, Damien, Cedelia, Ziggy) Peter Tosh is one of my favorites. He was in the Wailers with Bob before he went solo in 1975. Pick up his album called 'Legalize It' It shows Peter on the cover, puffing a fat bowl in a ganja field. Its really one of the best albums ever produced. I hope this helps.

P.S. Dancehall fucking sucks!

Anyone heard Dub Side of the Moon? Easy Dub All Stars did a dub version of Pink Floyd's DSOTM. Heard it for the first time last night and I've got to say it's pretty fuckin sweet. You wouldn't think it would work but I'd recommend any reggae fans to try and get your hands on it (or download it off Soulseek like me).
