High! I am probably doing something wrong here so please excuse me in advance. Total newb here and ready to absorb any and all good info.
I have had some of these with great success a very long time ago, but after reading about wild mushrooms, uh, I better ask some experts before consuming.
Growing up in Texas I have been told to stay away from white, hard, white gilled mushrooms, and happiness comes after finding light brown with gills that bruise brown or purple.
First pic was right after being picked, all others approx. 30 hours after pick.
Species #??
Habitat:Well manicured lawn
Gills:Brown, turning darker, easily bruised
Stem:Light brown getting darker largest being a average finger
Cap:Very light brown, off white largest being 3-4 inches
Bruising:Yes
General location:North Texas

It is a Chlorophyllum species, potentially poisonous.
Take a spore print and report back what color it is
Also under bruising you put "yes", what color bruising?

The only reason I didn't think these were Chlorophyllum Molybdites is I thought those were white gilled with no bruising.
These have brown gills and bruise a darker shade.
Is it too late to do a spore print if they have been picked 36 hours ago?
