Time and pressure chart for pressure cookers
    #18861278 - 09/19/13 01:07 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

I can't find the chart that tells you how long you should sterilize stuff in your PC given its pressure. I found an old soviet PC and in its manual its stated 1kg.cm-1 which is about 14 pounds per square inch. So how long should i run that PC?

90 minutes, just like 15PSI

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/boiling-point-water-d_926.html.

~15 PSI is atmospheric so you're looking at a 2*F/1*C difference in temperature inside the cooker when comparing 14PSI to 15PSI (that is PSI above atmospheric pressure).  So you'll be looking at 29/30 psi on the chart to see the temperature differences.
