ID help requested for find in King County Washington!
    #18861000 - 09/18/13 11:28 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Hey forum,

First and foremost I am new, been lurking with my gf for the past month. Moved to WA in DEC and found out that this state is a good place to find actives!

Well after a few tries (found a big amanita patch lol) i found a nice patch in my yard of mushrooms we suspect are active growing near some gravel and wood chips.

Spore print is jet black, we did not see any visible bruising but yet again we are still very new.

I am impressed that my girlfriend actually made our first spore print! and it came out really nice too

It is not active if that is all you are wondering

I dont know what it is but a bit more information would help.

You say it was growing near gravel and woodchips, Was it growing in the woodchips? A mix of the two? What was the actual substrait it was growing on?

I was about to guess Lacrymaria velutina. You guys are too fast!

But yeah it seems to be Lacrymaria species.
