Significant Other was an ok album. i liked the drummer and guitarist. Fred Durst was always a facepalmable type of character, but i actually think he's probably a pretty chill dude, in a the wrong music game; Rap Rock.

Honestly though that's not the worst lineup for a festival of it's nature. The festival was just horribly organized. I think my sister went. Or maybe it was one of the other ones. I'm too young to remember. I think it's funny that the only band from the "emerging artists" stage I recognize was Muse. I guess they got that one right and the rest wrong?

Woodstock is a joke at this point after the last 2 shit shows they had.  I don't care who they had, I wouldn't go to that shit.  I know a bunch of people that went to the other 2, they said music was great but it sucked overall.

Theres only one real woodstock and thats the woodstock of '69.

The sound system sucked. The terrain was overrun by way too many people.  There were food supply issues, transportation issues. It rained causing epic mud.

Its the Flower Power revolution that made Woodstock great, the wonderful attitude of the people that went. You cant just trow multi million dollars, the worlds best bands and the best tech at it and have it be Woodstock.

Woodstock became epic by 450,000 people, not just 32 bands, and it became epic despite shit weather, organisational and technical failures left and right.

If we had a festival that poorly run now it wouldn't be as highly regarded as that.  There was a lot of really good music there though, but I wouldn't want to be cramped with that many people in grounds that small.  I went to the woodstock museum in Bethel, was really interesting.

To be honest fuck a festival that big. If you lose your friends you're fucked. 450,000 is bigger than most cities. You'd never see them again.

You have 450,000 friends standing around you, how could you possibly lose them?

Like Wiccan Said it was the attitude and atmosphere that made Woodstock what it was, those were some magical times.

I believe my uncle who went to Woodstock said he lost all the people he went there with, and that he was tripping. I'm pretty sure he had the time of his life though.
