VERY suprised!
    #18859283 - 09/18/13 05:17 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Knocked up 14 jars exactly a month ago. Five of which were amazons. All five ams had a bacterial contam, so I placed them in a Styrofoam container and forgot about them.
Flash forward to now. My other nine cakes are just finishing fruiting and I have nine more colonizing. I shot three of the nine up with the same am syringe just for shits and gigs. Not surprising they contamed as well, but the spores actually germd and were trying to fight off the bacteria.
So I got the idea to take a peek at my earlier 5 just to see how they looked. I was shocked when I saw this.

Fully colonized. Smell amazing. And no weird colors. Really surprised these pulled through. Maybe my three I just started have a shot.

Why did you think it was bacteria? If it was due to stalling myc growth, your jars are the culprit.

All I ever used were tall half pints during my cake days. They never ever stalled even with MS injections. Not one ever.

I knew it was bacteria due to the rotten smell And the discoloration at the inoculation points. Ill get pics of the jars colonizing in the morning when I get off.

Still cant believe they pulled through. The smell almost made me vomit.

The spores never germed. My other nine were at 50% and the ams were showing nothing.

Here's the first flush from one of the cakes. The big guy was an invitro.

I know a cube is a cube. But these amazons have produced the biggest fruits I have by far.
