Problem with my popcorn...

Hi guys. A friend I know innocculated 4 quart jars of popcon about 3 weeks ago or more with Equadorian spores. Now, there are several patches or clumps as it is with corn, of great looking Mycellium. However, the growth has been extremely slow. Is there anything he can do to speed this up. Hes kinda worried that the entire jar wont colonize, which I hear can happen with dealing with popcorn. Thanks so much in advance.

I keep the heat at a constant temp 86F. Could it just be that the strain takes a while to totally colonize. I mean there is absolutely no contams, good looking stuff just verry slow growrth..

I have several Quarts of EQ`s also w/cracked corn an they have kinda stalleed also ...They arent slow colonisers with plain BRF but with a quart it`s a lot more area to colonise also. Mine are great looking Mycellium also but it shure is going slowly. I have allways liked EQ`s because they are probably the oldest strains around an anybody can cult them with little problems, mine are about at 40% right now but i think you are supposed to shake at 60% according to one of our experts.... I would like to know when it`s best to shake again

How did you prepare your corn? How much water can you see inside the jar? IME, slow colonization is a result of too much moisture.

What air filtration are you using? Lack of air exchange is oftern a cause of stalled growth.

Air filtration is taken care of with polyfill. I followed the popcorn tek exactly and moisture isnt the problem. I guess like someone here said, its just that it takes so long to colonize a quart. Do you guys recommend laying upside down?

Shake the jars like hell and spread out the mycileum. They'll probably finish in a week or less. What percentage is colonized?
