I'm pretty sure they're the same. Are you sure these are parasols though? I've never seen them grow in such dense clusters like that. I'll go check on these in a few days I guess and see what they look like at maturity.

Just deep fried some chants for a potato, kale, broccoli soup I just made.
They are fantastic! I did them just like fries. And by a random chance I tried them with cheddar cheese. I am not making this up.

No breading. Just salt and peppa. In safflower oil. The only high temp oil I ever use really.
I don't like what canola smells and tastes like.

It does not stink like canola when you heat it up. Canola smells like a wet dog to me.
Safflower imparts nearly no flavor or smells. Something I am looking for with a lot of cooking. I have yet to try many of the other oils available but I will.
But your favorite olive oil and your favorite high temp oil will get you through most any cooking situation.

They are pretty good. You gotta try Boletus mirabilis. That is really good.
A very interesting flavor. Umame and lemon.
I really want to try the Neolentinus pondersosus. I found it last summer but did not know what I had found and it was in a rehab area of the Willamette National Forest therefore I did not collect it.
That Lactarius I ate on Saturday was pretty good too. It really did taste like some really nice crackers.
And it is a friggin sexy mushroom.

When I ate a few lobsters the other night I think they upset my stomach. The next day I had diarrhea and it smelled like burnt toast, I don't know about you but it's not normal for me. Has anyone ever had this problem besides me? How do you cook them? The first person to eat one of those things must have been the bravest son of a bitch ever, they are pretty fucking funky looking... and smelling.

Yeah, a really interesting flavor. One that is enjoyable as well as interesting.
It is difficult to find fruits without bugs or hypomyces I have noticed.
But def give em a try.
Try them without butter first so you can taste them for what they are.
Really nice mushrooms.

Cool. I read they had a lemony flavor but just never got around to trying them. I usually see many nice ones as they love the conifer forests up here. I will give them a go.
