Hypothetically, Could one extract from fruited/partially spent mycelium
    #18855851 - 09/17/13 10:23 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

First off, I don't condone or participate in any illegal activity. This is all for information/curiosity.

Title basically says it all. I was reading somewhere about people who just grew mycelium of actives and extracted the psilocybin out. Obviously this is less efficient than just fruiting it for mushrooms.

BUT, then some people said that the mycelium only contains psilocybin AFTER it has fruited. So would it then be hypothetically logical to fruit mycelium for a flush or two, and then extract the mycelium to get the last bits out? Instead of just leaving it to contam and rot in the compost pile.

Thanks in advance for answers

Hypothetically you could dress a goat up in a suit and tie but in the end he's still a goat. See what I'm saying?
