Mono tub help
    #18854229 - 09/17/13 04:05 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

So my tub is almost fully colonized. But when I move it into fruiting do I leave the lid on and have the light next to it?

The lid should definitely be kept on during fruiting.

Light can be next to it... As long as its not producing too much heat I would say.

Good luck:thumbup:

Yes, the lid stays on.

You can remove it and fan out the tub, but then re-apply the lid after stuffing the holes with polyfill.

Bottom holes tight as hell, top holes loose.

You want ambient/indirect light(on a 12/12 schedule preferably) for colonization and consolidation.

You want direct/intense 6500K light on a 12/12 schedule for fruiting.

If you have a south facing window (and your tub is clear) Just sit it in front of the window, but back just a bit so the tub gets light but not heat. Worked like a dream for my first Hpoo tub! Im on my 3rd flush with nothin but mother nature lightin the way:thumbup:
