question about mushrooms"physiology" books
    #18852104 - 09/17/13 12:42 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

hello there

I've been watching Paul Stamets youtube videos, guys is a BOSS, started by hunting magic mushies and became a world authority in mycology

anyway I'm curious about literature related to mushroom physiology, the function of psilocybin and any other psychoactive substances for the mushrooms and just its physiology in general

like morphology and function, not so much cultivation

I  want to understand and have a grasp of the whole process at the cellular level since spores to fruit bodies

I'm sure there are guys here that are interested in mycology beyond the scope of practical cultivation techniques

which book would you think would be the best to start?

help a noob with that

Paul Stamets - Psilocybin mushrooms of the world

In the book, the author recommends other interesting readings

that one looks like an identification guide. I'm looking more like a introductory textbook to mycology

anyone?
