New to shroomery seeking to find myself

So I stumbled on this sight because I am trying to initiate a spiritual experience. I have only done shrooms once before and it was a life changing experience. I find myself stuck in a rut and am looking for something to push me in the right direction. As far as resources, I have very few so I was wondering how I would go about obtaining shrooms. Should I attempt to grow even though my intent is a one time use? I live in California and from what I can tell no one will ship here. Do I just print a pick of what to look for and start flipping cow patties, or go to the next hippie festival is SF? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, what are some recommendations to have a spiritual experience? My previous one I was with a friend, but Im seeking to find myself and i feel the presence of another could be a distraction.

You should grow them yourself, it would definitely add to your goal of having a spiritual experience to know that the shrooms you were eating were grown by yourself. There is one vendor who does ship to CA unfortunately they are not one of the sponsors, but I have used them many times and they are reliable, PM me if interested.

Spiritual as in the setting of your trip? Or initiating an OBE?
For the latter, I would recommend avoiding religion and any sort of mystical group. Meditate on your third eye and visualize walking around in your room, feel the sensations you would feel and try to experience every sense. Continually stand up from your body and walk away from it. Examine small objects or perform precise tasks (such as playing an instrument you know, visualize every detail you can of every exercise and song you would go through in a practice, the tones and harmonies, the feel of the keys and distance between them). Generally I'll start by visualizing colors at the point of the third eye. Also, recording dreams helps as most experiences begin there as Lucid dreams.
That's just what I do, I'm not going to preach about it just do whatever you see fit. If you try that method just be wary that if it works you'll experience some overwhelming sensations, and I don't really know where it leads or what it means - if it leads anywhere or means anything because I'm not a liar

an eighth in a quiet safe feeling place by yourself and meditate on the come up. concentrate on your breathing and start to explore the feelings of your body and the feeling of where your skin ends and where the outside world begins, there is really very little difference. this frame of mind and situation usually leads me to very personally non religious spiritual experiences.

I really know what you mean with the visualizing of every tiny detail. Reading that flooded me with sensations from my last trip.
And OP, be careful with psychs. If you take it too far, it can start making everything feel really REALLY weird.

Or, eat three double cheeseburgers, one double hamburger, fries, a chocolate shake and a coke in 15 mins like I did when I used to work at McDonald's. Hey free food. Then to go back to work after. Hmm....
