I think the reason that matsutake permits are so expensive is they can fetch upwards of $1,000 per pound.

From what I hear the matsi market is about the same as the Chanty market. Low prices...

Your Boletus might be something like Boletus aereus, I'm not very good at Identifying them though. Your last one is probably ganoderma oregonense, looks in pretty prime shape as well.

That looks like a much better fit. Did you end up keeping any of those Russula?

Awesome guys, I've grown reishi a few times, and when I saw this poking out of a mossy log, I said "damn, that's gotta be reishi". Awesome, I'll slice it up and boil it right now!

I think your mushroom is being parasitized, I found a few like this last weekend? Smell it I bet it smells fishy.

Thanks race ! I love those dark blue Entolomas! I think Joust knows the species name. And those porcini were mint and bug free! Ive been finding them every year under this same cottonwood now for like 4 years. It was my best haul from there so far! My daughter and I hit the spot 4 days out of 7 because most of the time the fucking squirels and bugs beat me to them. But not this year!

Found some decent Chants today although they are a bit water logged. after drying a bit they will be good to go. .

Some big ones next to a normal sized one

Found this big guy. I think theres a chance it could be Matsutake but im still working on the ID.

Looks like the gills are running down the stem a bit far for a matsi. Maybe Catathelasma sp.?
Nice work! Our chanties are drying up and are getting cobwebby! Yikes...

Good call on the gills nomad. Matsi's are notched. Give it a whif. Does it smell like red hots or pine.

This falls under the heading Cool Fungi I guess. (Unless someone can tell me it's an edible Agaricus or something?)

I like the last one because it looks like someone dropped a cluster of mildewed grapes on the ground.
