Can anyone ID these please?
    #18850969 - 09/16/13 07:58 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

I found them in my yard in large groupings, in some dead leaves and pine needles and soil. My guess is the Psilocybe Cayanescens but i'm not positive.

Definitely not Psilocybe.  Have you considered Pholiota?

If you wet your finger and touch the cap, is it slimy?

What is the spore print like?

There might be Psilocybe cyanescens fruiting in your area, but if so, you would be the first to find it this season.

I'm making a spore print right now, it shouldn't be done  until tomorrow. They are bruising a lightish green.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but, I can't help it.  No, they are not.    Can you get some pics of the bruising?

Actually now that I look, they seem to be bruising just a brownish color. I've seen lots of them around forests too. I live in Washington, the Seattle area. I'll upload pics of the spore print tomorrow

What kind of inocybe or pholiota would they be?

Inocybe is an enormous genus. The brown species are ridiculously hard to get to species without a microscope.
