Prescription Refill Question?
    #18844767 - 09/15/13 02:25 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

So, I dislocated my jaw really fucking bad, and causing alot of pain and cant sleep. I went to an Oral surgeon, and he prescribed me some meds, 1 of which was 7.5/325 Hydrocodones, 30 pills with 1 refill.  It says take 1-2 every 4 hours for pain.  Well, needless to say I need a refill but it is still within the same month as originally prescribed.  Should I wait and bear it out? Or will the Pharmacist go ahead and refill the drug? I live in USA, will i get in trouble? THANKS!

Theoretically you are allowed to take 12 a day so you could refill it 2.5 days after you get it. I am not a lawyer or a pharmacist.

How long has it been since you got the script?

Ask the pharmacy.

just do it, I have plenty of friends who push their refills. If you did it a lot it would be a problem but if you go to a busy pharmacy they just never have the time to give a fuck.

Nope! Finish reading the bottle, should read: 1-2 every 4-6 hours...1 every 4 or or 2 every 6...8 is the max they prescribe of said meds anymore...for a while now.  If they do prescribe you more than that, they'll give you Percocet. The law's have changed on how much acetaminophen they will give you a day.  Don't try and go to your pharmacy, they all think anyone trying to refill early are fiends.... The Pharmacy actually shorted me 15 of my 240. They found that they were at fault, but that was after a decade of getting meds for them to make a mistake.Call your doctor if you are out, he will take care of it.

Only speaking from taking $3300 a month in meds: Including all kinds for pain. Remember pain is all in your head. <---- not that helps much when your hurting.... Eat all the pot you can find bro!

If you are using insurance, there is very little chance you can refill early. If you are not, you probably can.

Refill are allowed when the pills are gone when taken as instructed. If you get 20 pills and the instructions say to take 1 a day then you can refill after 20 days. There is no set time period for all prescriptions.

I think.
