there's yer out
while travellin' india, i met many an israeli who got early discharge for mental health issues
most of them hadn't been faking though--their time in the idf had seriously effed them up--look at it this way, you either milk your way out now or get tossed out later when your mind legitimately snaps
fuck the idf
side story, i hitched a ride with a canadian guy once who unwittingly joined the idf because he wanted a cheap refridgerator
he was living in israel with a jewish wife--they wanted a fridge but due to import taxes, many things are super expensive in israel--but! a special coupon book is available to citizens, to allow them to buy things are more reasonable prices (at least it did then)
he became a citizen to get that book and didn't look over the fine print
cue three years of checkpoint duty in the west bank

holy shit that sucks haha.
I think what you said is my only option for now but again the problem there is in Israel since the army is mandatory jobs ask, where were you in the army what did you do and all that fun stuff.
if I go out for mental health issues then it might effect my future if I stay here or end up returning if I leave which is why I just prefer a job I can be comfortable in.
if that doesn't happen then I think I will have to do some shit at the psychologists.

an early discharge will almost definitely be a blight on your record if you choose to remain in israel

It doesn't matter what unit you're in. You're still wasting three years of your life, as well as the entire lives of many innocent people, children and stuff.
You are only able to be saying this, because some time long ago some one was killed for the land you now live in. Like all land in all of history. Be a little more respectful of world history before you start spewing nonsense.
Somehow you agree with me in an argumentative tone.

Be thankful you're not being forced to murder children

There are no girls commanding tanks in the army here, so excuse me if i call this story BS. I cant say there was never innocent blood spilled but IDF never for killing citizens so if there was an order given to shoot kids the only people that should be held as responsible are the commander which gave the order and the soldier himself which obey this order. Well lets not get into politics...
OP, there are few ways, i wrote to you, but didnt know really much before reading here, if the situation is pretty shitty you can ask for a form to fill to move you, the process will be like this: they will deny it, you should press the issue, make problems and even not come (nifkadut) and as 90% of the time go to jail to show you are serious, then after some time you will get other job, hopefully a better one... Let me tell you this, everywhere in the army you feel like you are waisting your time...
