Meditation - Feels weird man

I don't know if i'm doing this wrong or what..
My original plan was to try and astral project but I honestly just got into this type of stuff so I figured i'd just let the meditation engulf me.
This is the weirdest feeling ever.. I tried this a few days ago with the same feelings as a result. I'd get into it and the deeper I get into it, the stronger it feels.
It feels like i'm spinning, robotic, 1 million pounds and vibrations. It's similar to the symptom when your sick with a fever. You feel... big but small at the same time, spinning, robotic, ect. it's just weird man.
The only thing that concerns me is.. I don't want these feelings to stick forever. I hope it's not a hazard to my mental health because I do like this whole meditation thing but if this is the case then I aint gonna be able to keep this up. When I first just came back to from this event, I still felt it while moving around! It seems to be subsiding but I still feel it.. ugh.. I wanted to go deeper in this too but I got woken up :/
Anybody else ever feel so weird while doing this??? Or am I doing this wrong??

it may be more intense for you since it is your first times, correct?. you should observe these feelings next time you meditate. there shouldn't be any harm from meditation whatsoever, unless you are forcing yourself to the point of more stress than i would careful and slow things down.

It's definitely an odd sensation I once meditated for an hour, and spontaneously astral projected into a grove that I had been subconsciously creating...met a strange dude named Draco in all white.. copies of myself dressed in white hunched over computer control panels; strange stuff
explore the Void at your own discretion, my friend
im deathly afraid of that shit lol
but yea this basically is my first time. the "first" time, i only got into it for about 5 mins.. but i still felt the same weird shit. I used to hate those weird sensations when I was younger but it aint so bad anymore. Like I said, i just dont want it to stick through out my whole days. that drive me nuts lol this meditation lasted for about half hour/45 mins though. is it possible to meditate for too long?!?
id like to think that, what those feelings are is just our brains working in a different frequency and its a way to actually experience it, i.e. vibrations. Does anybody know what brain waves feel like? lol its possible it could be just that.. i guess
anyways, my goal was to astral project.. i dont know if i want to anymore nah atleast once, yes.. but i just want to fly around the universe, not meet random people lol

Fear also opens you up to lower vibrations too. what many would call demons, and whatnot
if all you want to do is fly, my advice is: Load up that movie, maan say "I want to fly" and just keep repeating that while trying to project.. maybe imagine flying over the ocean or a desert landscape.
I gotta grow balls lmao
thats what i've read so far and thats exactly what I was doing. astral projection seems a little more difficult though. but thank you!

it really depends on what you are trying to achieve in your meditation. op is trying astral so im sure the sensations are more vibrant and wild. but you gotta have some serious jedi skills to astral project at will.

So what kind of other meditations do you recommend? say for.. relaxation?
The way I was taught was concentrate on breathing while counting backwards from 100. This time I did just that and I found that i can very easily just go as deep as I want as long as I have a background thought of continuously counting and then I can still think of whatever I choose or not think at all but just count.
I read to astral project.. concentrate on how your forehead feels and then view the back of your eyelids through your forehead which I kind of understand but don't lol
i was also laying down meditating both times so maybe that accounts for the weirdness?
I feel as if im decently connected to this though since I was able to achieve a meditating state in general for the two only times i've tried so far
thanks for the tips!

The key to meditation is no thought. So there's no counting backwards, no thoughts of having no thoughts. Just silence of the mind. Focus on breathing & feeling.

Yup, I simply release all thoughts from my mind, and then keep it quiet entering complete peace until I leave

my best ways to LD:
WILD+binaural beats: lay back, be relaxed, be without other drugs etc. for a while (no drugs in body), lay for 1-2hrs or so w. headphones+binaural beats(youtube), suddenly you get heavy, after a while you start to hear sounds, then you can separate if lucky/go directly into lucid dream
can be done without binaural beats too... if you got no noise where you live, then it's even better than binaural beats IMO.... because you can hear/feel when you start to go into sleep mode(weird sounds usually)
WB2B: wake up for 30mins before usual time, go back to bed after 30mins or so best done in the morning with sunlight in the room, then go back to bed
and reality checking is always a good idea with any, + dream journal how did I get here? is this scene likely? do I have a history here? are things physical? :-) often fails..
light switches usually don't work in dreams though... no matter how many times you try
LD is better than the best trip and anybody can learn it(google lucid dreaming), the important thing is to be -very- relaxed no external noises, don't eat right before it/take drugs before it
I once had much luck with drinking Ilex Guayusa , 3 lds in 1 night , but not the night I anticipated (tastes like good tea...)
best is without any remedies , and no external noise, but if you got external noise binaural beats(headphones)/drinking ilex/smoking salvia might help
peace

good info man. thanks! I've lucid dreamt plenty of times. I had it down pretty easy for awhile but I kinda forgot about it lol
its never your face in mirrors spinning prolongs the lucidness and length you can lucid dream light switches hahaha clocks are never right or even have hands if analog, its always random lines/symbols for digital.
however, i was never able to just sleep and then come into a dream and realize i was dreaming. i know if you do that, your lucid dreaming. i did it once on complete accident. i was dreaming and said "this has to be a dream" and everything became all vivid and colorful ect. and I was able to control the dream a little but not much.
twas fun lol
i gotta experience this astral projection stuff though. I hear you can see the crystalline consciousness grid that surrounds the earth. One of the reasons I want to travel the universe
ima try your waking up meditation on my day off though forsure!
anybody ever meditate on drugs? lol is it even possible??

meditation and day dreaming are two different ideas. meditation is means a lot of different things to different area of practice. dig the Zen idea that meditation can be happening all the time while doing normal day activities. sitting lotus facing a wall with a 'don't know' mind, feeling the breathe in and out, in and out, letting the tongue flow when begin to go as chants come through meaning nothing to hold onto as it all goes on, an' on, an' on... far out the duality between almost everything. the balance of it all.
day dreaming is fun. once upon a time, far, far away there stood a tree. now this tree is not no ordinary tree, for this tree... ...happily ever after. aum
-------------------- Hip, hip... WhoRAy!!! Eye was thinking the other day... ahh, thinking never done me no good.

Never tried spinning yet
but I used to always get excited and wake up
but then I realized that if I try to continue the dream as if I haven't figured out the dream out yet, it doesn't wake me up ;D and by not acting too excited when it happens
I never wake up in dreams when I do this, can prolong it infinitely it seems I just have a hard time realizing I'm dreaming in the first place, usually light switches that don't work that help me become lucid
usually fly around for hours being chased by something in the air.. without being fully lucid but sometimes I remember to just turn around and face it and it disappears sometimes but not always, feels kinda evil... weird stuff

oh man yeah you summed up my dream state so well
i def know that feel when you get so excited it wake you up
it's just like DAMN IT! and go back to sleep. i've gotten good at being able to fall back into dreams though as long as i manage to fall back asleep before i dwell on the moment.
