Yes, wash your hands VERY well. Wild birds often have lice

Don't eat it if it dies, you don't know what it's died of. If it survives then kill it and eat it, chances are it's ok.

This reminds me of the other night. I go outside and see one of our cats is killing/playing with a mouse, I
scare the cat away and the mouse is just sitting there but I can see its lungs moving. So I made a little
cardboard house for him, just put it on top and hoped hed be okay. Check it the next morning, box didn't move but
the mouse was gone. Which means the cat didn't get him.

it's cool that you are taking care of the bird patlal, i would have done the same. though i would have put the bird in a box with bedding or something rather than leaves. probably gonna get eaten by something else before it has a chance to recover. strange the cat didnt take it

Yeah are we talking like jerky tough or is it more like a beef vs veal thing where people want ultra tender meat as a delicacy? I've never had pigeon but I was imagining it being something like grouse.

Yeah, I washed my hands with alcohol, and when I got home I put on some gloves to examine what could be wrong with it. He had shit stuck in his feathers so I washed some of it off. I gave it a little water.

It's windy outside and cold as fuck, I don't know what to cover him with so he doesn't freeze. I also took a piece of bread and ripped it a few bite size pieces for him.

WHat I should do is bring him inside so I could properly wash his feathers, he clearly has some sort of diarhea going on. But I don't think bringing that pigeon in my house is a good idea

They are actually really pretty birds, idk why people have so much stigma against them.

Because they're flying bags of diseases. Also they shit all over everything, which spreads diseases.
