What is your multiool?

I am looking for a solid multitool that will survive the test of time. That being said, price is no object. I am considering the leatherman wave, leatherman charge tti, and am open to suggestions. Should I get anything with it like oil or sharpening stone or something?

def get a leatherman--the wave is more than functional but if price is of no matter, go for the tti
you'll still need to get some sort of oil to protect from rust formation, but not much else
the case they supply with the tools now is nylon or some synthetic fibre--definitely will not last as long as the tool itself--if you really wanna be ballin', i'm sure there are ways to get custom made leather cases for your leatherman
also, pro tip: get the bit kit

By "carrying case" I mean a little black leather satchel that can be attached to your belt.

I have a SOG PowerLock.

I really like it since it has everything I need and the pliers kick ass.
The down side as you can imagine from the picture, getting the tools out is a little cumbersome. Having them inside and under a cover takes a little getting used to. Also those covers can pop off when you don't want them to, at least until you get the hang of it.
I need to replace the plyer head though, I was drunk and tried to cut hardened steel with the wire cutter. Oh well it's only 15 to replace.
It's heavy and big, I could probably brain someone with it.
I really wanted a good multi tool for general use and something I can take out into the woods as a survival tool. I think it fits the bill well for me.

I had my Leatherman Wave for close to 9 years. I used the shit out of it too. Fresh water, salt water, sand. With regular cleaning and oiling I never had any issues.
It was stolen a few months ago.

Leatherman is definitely a great choice. I'd get the TTI if you don't mind spending the extra change.

Gerber, chosen specifically because it's available with blunt-nose pliers. The blunt-nose are far more useable for me than the needle-nose.
