I'm guessing you are going to be doing BRF cakes ? they should be fine as long as you have the dry verm layer on top to protect the cake underneath. Here is a link explaining what i mean: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/15223324#15223324

The only problem you might have is getting the cake out of the jar after it's fully colonized, that's why most people recommend wide mouth jars. You might be lucky and it could shrink a little due to all the water being absorbed, goodluck and have fun :peace:

If you're having problems finding the widemouth jars in the area you live you should be able to get away with using drinking glasses of the same approximate size.
