Flame them outside of the box. Use an alcohol burner or a cigarette lighter.
Flame needles and tools until they are red hot. You can squirt a few drops of liquid through the needle to cool it prior to inserting it into jars. Flame between every jar.

Syringes I use flame. Tools I use peroxide or bleach solution...

I keep my tools inside of a jar (in the SAB) filled with isopropyl alcohol.
I take them out as needed, remove them from the SAB and hit them with a small blowtorch until red-hot.
Then quickly and carefully move it back inside the SAB and proceed

Are you saying you take a tool covered in alcohol and hit it with a flame, while holding it with a gloved hand?? I gotta see this, haha

Obviously the tool is only covered in iso up to a certain point. I use a tall half-pint, not a quart jar
I've yet to burn myself and I've done a few hundred transfers and a few dozen inoculations since I added the ISO jar a few weeks back
It is great, it's a double-whammy vs. contams on your tools.

Yes indeed, this would cause air to be drawn into the box due to the flame consuming oxygen
Also, you risk burning yourself and/or melting or setting ur SAB on fire. Haha, none of which is a good thing..

I think it was fastfred who suggested it to me.
It's not like I think it does anything the flame doesn't do
It does have the nice side effect of getting any crap off my scalpel before flaming.
And since the tools would be sitting in the empty jar anyhow, I figured why not?

Doesn't pulling your hand in an out of your SAB make more airflow than a torch inside? I only use warm soapy water to spray the inside instead of ISO so that it doesn't go boom. I haven't had a problem with contams flaming inside of a box but if you guys really think I should do it the other way I'll give it a try.

I've taken to using a pint and a half (3/4th quart) widemouth full of tools (2 knives, half dozen inoculation loops, qtips, aluminum foil) and pressure cooked with grain. I still flame till red hot, but I don't mind a bit of redundancy.
On a side note, I am loving fitting 8 of these pint and a half jars full of millet through my PC in contrast to 7 full sized quarts.

No, not really. But it's not about airflow really. You should let the air settle once you move your tools back inside regardless. On the flipside, you'll need to let the air settle after flaming inside the box.
That heat will create a lot more air movement than you would think.
And if you do a test on a petri dish, you can see that your sterile red-hot blade or needle will still be sterile after being moved back into the SAB

So is an SAB wish 4' holes flipped top down with tyvek sleeves attached ( anyone have the best way to attach them?) sufficient for inoculation, g2g, and agar?

Photo courtesy of Notahacker420. If using tyvek sleeves, some tape them onto the inside of the fitting. I have seen zip-tied variations as well. Gloves and holes work perfect for me.
Yes, the Sab is sufficient for all of the work you described.
