Incandescent Light as a Heater?

Hello all,
This is my first time growing psilocybin mushrooms. I sort of fell into the rabbit hole by accident and thus far, it looks like a FASCINATING hobby. Not for the drugs, not necessarily for the money, but for the biology.
Anyway, I have six PF Tek jars that I inoculated 6 days ago. I followed the instructions to the best of my abilities (although I did steam sterilize the jars rather than pressure cook) but was underwhelmed by the growth I've seen so far. there are small areas that MIGHT be mycelium growth in some inoculation sites, though nothing definite. So I decided to heat them up because my house tends to be 68 degrees. In lieu of a fishtank heater incubator, I am going to use an old 25w incandescent light bulb placed near to the jars as a heater, on a timer. Will this work?
Thanks.

Probably, never tried it but no reason it shouldn't work.

Heat from a light is too uneven.
Use a small tub-in-tub incubator for heating your jars.

68 degrees is fine for cubes.
Here's a good solution if you do wish to heat them.
Dammit Frank I already typed it so I'm posting it. Deal with it

I do appreciate the suggestion (bookmarked it) and I will probably be making an incubator like that off of proceeds in November. At the same time, I will invest in a pressure cooker and build a still air box. But for this first attempt, I will be kind of half-assing it because I don't want to sink too much money in something like this without first trying it to make sure its practical and I like it. If I had a fishtank heater I would go for it but I do not. My idea is to make this a hobby that pays for itself.
With that in mind, I'll continue with the incandescent light as I have been for 7 hours now, and I will make sure to turn the jars every day. the whole drawer is fairly warm.
I have read enough of the site to understand that strain questions are frowned upon but do different "strains" prefer different temperatures? This is a (multispore) pf classic amazonian grow.

Best of luck. Just make sure the jars don't get TOO hot.
Cubes are cubes they all want the same thing.

I have colonized and fruited at that temp just fine last winter. I assume it slowed things down a bit, but it was still fully a success. TBH, I am looking forward to doing it again this fall and winter.

"Help" contams? Don't be silly.
If there are contams present in your jar, that jar is fucked regardless of the temperature.
This is why we sterilize and use good sterile technique when inoculating our jars.
I kept my incubator at 86F for a month, it ran about 40 jars and 3 LCs with no issue whatsoever
However, 86F is pushing the red zone, you'd do best to keep it at 81F.

No worries. It's a common misconception, it's been repeated a lot over the years.

I'm pleased to have that cleared up as well. A lot of threads mentioned that heating was a bad idea because it would promote contamination, hearing that it doesn't is music to my ears.
Now, will the temperature fluctuations from the light being on and off alternately (I want to give the drawer I'm growing in time to cool, fire hazard etc.) hamper growth? It's probably only a few degrees, though I don't have a thermometer to test it.
