its not as grey as it looks, but after the pic when I took a qtip with peroxide to it, it didn't dissolve. so I just proceeded to take asmuch of it off as I could.. there were lotzs f tiny black dots
what should I do with it?

if it is cobweb, could I just cut the part off that has it and continue into fruiting tommrow?

I am definitely not a reliable source of info. However, it does look like cobweb. Some would say to trash the whole tub, but I'm pretty sure you can just fish out the contaminated spot.

I also want to know. Mine get scrapped or go outside if they look even close to that.
Had it once and it was my fault. I didn't hold temps during pasturization properly and also mixed it in a unsterile environment.
If outside is an option it is what I'd do. But I don't approve of tossing stuff outside due to security. Well not knowing your specific situation.

You may experience some side-pinning now that the side of the substrate is exposed. Would say it is probably better than trashing the whole thing to cobweb. Best of luck!

You SHOULD trash it but it CAN be treated by H2O2 i.e. hydrogen peroxide aplied 3/4 times every 8/12 hours?

Should give a nice sizzly sound when you spray it (silver lining to every cloud - thats what you get with this one IME)

Im not a mold expert by any means, but you should have waited a little bit longer before performing surgery on your tub.
So going forward -
If using peroxide to treat cobweb it takes multiple treatments early on, this shit gets away way too fast. I cant remember if its Cronicr or NaH that has a thread on peroxide treatments for mold.
Additionally, when you cut it out, if you did this in your grow room with other tubs you just spread those spores allllllllll around.
Salt treatments have also been shown as effective.
If your sub was not colonized all the way through the substrate you're going to contam again.

Cobweb mold like that is easily cured with three soakings of 3% peroxide, 12 hours apart.
Cutting it out simply made it worse because it can spread by airborne mycelial fragments. RR

Sorry for the bad info OP. I hope you didn't make your decision to cut it out solely based upon what I said. Still learning myself
