Oysters I do believe
    #18836615 - 09/13/13 11:49 AM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Cool walk through the wood brought me upon these fresh guys.
Habitat: deciduous woods, cool and moist.  Standing dead tree
Gills: white, attached
No spore print yet
Region: north east

Well that's it, I've found oysters with a friend a while ago but they where a darker type, might these be them?

Those are oysters alright!! Beautiful specimens you have found. You better pick them before that giant slug gets to them. Ok maybe leave a few for the slug.....

Do you know what type of tree it is that they are growing on?

Found them on a dead maple, left some small ones since I'll be back in the area tomorrow;)
