Habitat: Growing from a log in the woods

Gills: White and close together

Stem: Creamy, Yellowish.

Cap: Same as stem with a darker part on the middle of the cap



Dont care if there magic or not, jus wanted to know what they are if anyone can help

Cant seem to work out which type it is from lookin at pictures online but looks like Hypholoma fasciculare to me apart from these ones i picked have thinner stems

Id say closer to Hypholoma capnoides.  Were they growing on pine?

I'm not sure tbh, it was just a dead log in the woods that i walked past from a chopped down tree

The gills of older H. fasciculare would have a sulfur-yellow color to them.  Even the young ones would have a pallid yellow tone.  It looks like all of yours are an off white. That's my main reason for suspecting capnoides.
