ive come across some deer fucking before. pretty funny.

i was also examining a pretty old carcass (it was mostly hair) and it stank summat fierce. AND THEN A MOTHER FUCKING TURKEY VULTURE BREAKS THROUGH THE TREE LINE AND SWOOPS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE BY LIKE SIX INCHES and then flies back up through the tree line

i was like WHAT THE FUCK! very surreal to have been mistaken for food and almost pounced upon.

think i have a pic of an elk skull somewheres too, but i wasnt mushroom hunting and i didnt actually find it. was on a camping trip with rev0kadavur who found it beforehand.

lol deer fucking hahaha! turkey story reminds me of the chimpmunks I saw kinda. good shit!:mushroom2:

I once found this partial cow skeleton strung up in the deep woods.  Considering that it has not been private land for over 20 years, and that the nearest road is 5 miles away it kinda freaked me out.

Oh, and this -

Holy shit that's a velociraptor!!

(It's really just a deer...)

interesting. i didnt think it was a deer because the ones in my area are much more gracile.

knew it couldnt be a cow because it wasnt robust enough

so i settled on horse, maybe a younger one with a shorter neck.

i guess the implied thought of the thread was to show them in their natural setting. but i also didnt exactly implicitly say that either so...

yeah that secret giant was smexy! so was the owl that lived in it. also im fairly sure i either brought the skull back from the tree or stacked them on top of one another...

although i recall stacking two skulls, not a vertebrae so maybe you rearranged things later on.

one of the cooler things ive seen in the woods was in the sierra nevada during 6th grade sleep away camp. we were hiking all day and he took us on this steep cliffy sort of trail. on one side was a bit of a drop and then sloping dense woods. on the other was a muddy wall with a pretty high bank.  but inlayed in that wall was thousands of shells. the whole wall face was just different types of snails and junk. it was soooo cool. then we got an ice age lesson and deduced that the ocean/sea had come that far inland which was mind blowing.  it was a very cool trip
