i'm still gonna stick with panaeolina foenisecii. Panaeolus olivaceus have darker caps. It helps to know your state too. Also panaeolus cinctulus can be found in lawns, they look like these but the gills are darker.

Try to include all parts of the mushroom (missing stem in this case).
Cap and print look good, I'd go with Panaeolus cinctulus for this one.

the first pic looks to have some some decent bluing at the base? to me anyhow. can anyone else see it? reason im asking, is because it looks alot like pan cint to me, but being id'd as pan foe. will a foe bruise blue? maybe a mixed bag? im not doubting anyone, just curious.

The lighting could make it look that way, the photo seems to have an overall purple hue. Also, Pan. cincts is not known to blue heavily and very often not at all. Sharper pictures may provide further insight.

ok maybe its just me. guess its hard to tell with the pics. but about the bluing cints, i think we can agree that some dont, some do. i recently read an older thread where the poster's cint finds nearly always blue(he had pics to show), but i cant speak from personal experience, as i have yet to find this species for myself. makes for good conversation regardless.

i blew the 1st pic up and showed it to 4 people and asked them individualy to point out any colors they see. 3 of them had the same response; brown, light purple and blue. the other person only saw two colors. brown and blue. im obviously over thinking this, but only because it intrigues me so much,(and i wanna make sure im not crazy) im certain that the base of the stipe is showing bluing.as its quite obvious on my screen. maybe we can get some more opinions from some other members.

The spore print is brown, how can this not be a foe?

i guess thats why i am so confused...i was under the impression that the print shown was from a "batch" and there is only one print shown from said batch, so this furthers my confusion. hence the reason i said I said it might have been a mixed bag. Pans are so facinating! i was mearly stating that i see blue on the "foe"
