Help me ID this orange beauty in CT...?

Found growing in light woods in CT. Sprung up overnight, currently about eight inches (see ruler in photo). Growing very close to the ground.
Firm texture, almost woody. Second photo is one of the lobes, broken off and turned over. Note darkening bruise from my fingers. No gills. Has a rich grocery-store mushroomy scent.
Never seen this one before, not to be found in my mushroom book.
It's gorgeously orange. Anyone know what it might be?
Thanks in advance.

It will be growing from wood that's underground.

What color is the underside? Op,Laetiporus sulphureus will have yellow pores. Laetiporus cincinnatus will have white pores. Both are really good.

Oh, and trim off the softer portions, leave the rest to regen since it's too tough to eat - maybe you can have cotw for awhile.

"The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."
