i beleive this is a big laughing gym, just about 99% sure. i have found them before but something about eating it from the wild eeks me out so thats why i am posting. it was found today september 12th.

habitat; found in a dried up swamp in a deciduous forest growing directly off of a dead oak tree in clusters of 6 or 7 mushrooms each
gills; orange, spore print rust orange.
stem; stem is thick heavy and meaty. darker at the bottom than top orange in color. a very distinctly noticeable veil is present.
cap; cap is about 3 inches in diameter. orange in color thick and touch meaty flesh, covered in orange spores.
no bruising was noticed
this particular specimen weighs approximatley 35 grams. how many grams on average would get you to the level of an average eigth of cubensis? i have some that weigh over 200 grams a peice so there is plenty to go around. i do understand that it is a different experiance than cubensis and that doasge will vary. the other chemicals in it create a different experiance? i plan to make tea with about from what ive heard about 250~grams per dose out in the woods where i have a fire pit and secluded place to go. sorry about all of the questions im just excited. this was found in northern rhode island, united states

both species do grow in my area at around the same time of year. the g. luteus seems to be more yellow in particular than the specimens that i found but your the trusted identifier not me lol. so i should be safe ingesting these mushrooms weather they are the g.junonius or g.luteus as both species are actives? i was also thinking about testing it with my bunk police kit for psilocybin but im sure even the mushroom tissue alone would have some odd reaction causing a false readout.
