FoxFires Setup - Green House, Buckets Etc.

Thought I'd show you guys what's going on with my little set up and how I put it together.
Here is the ghetto-fab beauty in all her glory:

In all seriousness, I'm sick of this thing. Next summer I'm getting a bigger pre-fab green house, like you see on ebay, and plugging my humidifier setup into it.
I do, however, love my humidifier. It's a regular trash can with a 6 disk fogger and buoy and a 400 cfm hydroponics fan. All the pvc was salvaged for pennies, and all the seams are siliconed inside and out. I also have it hooked up directly to the hose, so all I have to do is turn the hose on to fill it. It did have a float valve on it but the little thing couldn't stand up to the pressure..
The fogger inside runs off an 'ART-DNe' cycle timer. I change the timer a lot due to weather fluctuations. Usually it's on about 30 minutes and off for 15 or so. If it's a really hot dry day, I'll just have it on nonstop during the hottest part of the day then turn it down at night.
Here is the rest of my setup: 2'x4' Flow Hood 140 Gallon Stock Tank Pasteurizer
And I think most of you can relate to the fact that my spawn lab is, in fact, my bedroom. Here is the next round that is going to straw tomorrow: 30 pounds each of blue oyster, golden oyster, and pink oyster grain spawn.

For the buckets, I have settled on 1/2" to 3/8" holes. The smaller holes make harvesting WAY easier, whole big clusters just twist right off no problem. The 1" holes do not give up their mushrooms easily, and I have partially mutilated some pretty nice clusters because of it.

Most of my buckets have either 3/4" holes or 1" holes. The 1" holes sprout lots of aborted and small clusters along with one or two huge ones. The 3/4 inch holes are a little more even, and are a little easier to harvest. My newest batch I had to drill some more buckets so I did 3/8" hols on 9-10 of them. I just pulled off the first cluster from one of the 3/8" holes and actually laughed out loud it came off so easy! It was pretty big as well.

Love seeing your pictures. You larger scale growers make me jealous and inspire at the same time

Lol! You like those?
I'm a little apprehensive of the day when I need those buckets (probably tomorrow...) and have no where to put my bags..

Yes. With the amount of air that fan pushes, that humidifier can support a greenhouse twice the size of mine if you dial in the timer right.

my man. I use that fan, a little bigger trash can, and 2 pond foggers for a 2000cu ft room. The foggers generally run all the time and burn through some water. Hell, I can't even fux with any ducting as I can't get that silicone to seal on the plastic. But at least it will be self filling as soon as I get a float valve in.

Try polyurethane calk. Sometimes it will work where silicone won't, although polyethylene and polypropylene will usually only stay together with heat sealing or bonding.

How many pounds do you yield per bucket?

My setup is way different now, that was over a year ago. I don't use buckets anymore, but those were yielding about 2.5 - 3# per bucket over 2 flushes. If I remember correctly each bucket weighs about 12-13# after inoculation.
I still have the buckets though, was thinking about making some strawberry towers out of them.

In the new setup? Yeah poly tubing for oyster columns, 14" 4 mil. I think, for 9" diameter columns.
I also got a roll of 7" 2 mil. tubing to do pasteurized sawdust bags with. I've tried it for a couple different species with some success. edit: And some failure..

How do you space out the holes on the bucket? Is there any scientific guidelines. What happens if the spacing is closer? My reckoning was if it was closer - then it would have higher output. I'm a noob. I have done oyster mushrooms in plastic bags so far, but would like to to go with the bucket model.
Also will more mushrooms grow out of the same hole after you have taken the earlier ones?
