Tips for getting started again (after 2-3 years)

Well, it's been a while, but I'm about ready to start my mushroom experience once again. I've just picked my first 150g of cubensis B+ from a MycoFarm and pretty much felt like I was starting to trip there and then (not sure if anyone else has had these 'sympathetic' symptoms?).
I've done a couple of mild trips in the last 2-3 years but nothing beyond, say, a Level 2. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had an experience of being 'away' for this length of time and has any advice to share.
I'm keen on a high-level trip but I'm wondering whether people tend to build themselves up to this level once again if there's a big gap between trips?
Also, I've always felt that doing regular doses has permanently 'sensitised' to even quite low doses, but can anyone else share whether they needed to build back their sensitivity to the mushroom experience (if you see what I mean) after a long gap?
Basically, any thoughts/tips welcome! Thanks.

My longest break has probably been under a year but I've had several of these 10 month long or so breaks. Anyways, I hate low doses and I also hate regular dosing. I typically lean to medium-high dose trips once a month or so, at least it's my aim but I usually get to trip less than that.

Its all preference. If you feel you can take a high dose trip, do it. If not, work yourself up to it.
Or, dose low for the beginning of the trip to "test the waters", and then slam down a high dose!

I like this idea, but find it very difficult to eat anything, least of all mushrooms, once I'm started!
(Back in the early days, it was so easy, I just used to crunch them up. Now I need to grind them, mix with yoghurt, have a glass of whisky on standby to drown out the taste...)

Use tea, prepare two decent doses so you can top up if you want?

Never tried tea but that sounds like a good idea.

Nothing has changed except the fact that the ego will be a little more "enforced" and MIGHT be harder to let go, but once you do, thats it. and yeah, the taste will be worse, at least for me. Does your body think it was poisoned before and it is just it's way of telling you to spit it out? It seems that way anyway. Eat fresh. or blend with oj and take some shots

Yep, I think my next one (haven't tripped in a while, very nervous) will be a difficult one. I will try my best to let go, I always do - but some vibes are (seem) unshakable

Took eight years off, so yeah, I know what you mean. Took 3.5 dried grams on my return and they must've been pretty potent because it was one of the most intense trips I've had. Even so, like I've said before, It's kinda like riding a bike - you never really forget what tripping is like and once you get there, it seems pretty familiar. Based on my experience, I wouldn't put too much more thought into it than you ever did in the past. I certainly wouldn't let it stress you out.

I took a long break from mushrooms and then ended up taking 5 grams. Wow things got bizarre real quick. If things get too crazy remember, Just breathe.

That's what I hoped someone would say.
I've decided I won't let it stress me out; in fact I'm excited and have been having mini - I won't say flashbacks - more my brain revisiting familiar trip feelings and sensations. Like the way sound seems to bend towards me in a certain way when I'm coming up, and the wavy textures of things seem to be sending inviting signals to me, across time. That might sound kind of stupid, but I bet it doesn't to plenty of trippers.

Yeah, you never forget. I've had as much as a ten year break.
No problem.
You'll wonder mostly why you stayed away for so long.
PS
PS My future self sends signals to my current self about tripping. If you can tap into that it'll ease your anxiety.

OK. My future self (while tripping) sends messages to my current self (also usually tripping but not always) about the trips I'm going to have in the future. Dig? And this works as encouragement to grow mushrooms, etc.

How I can remember something that hasn't happened yet???
PS
PS What I mean is, I get the messages, like, now, and then later on I send them.
Yeah it's weird. Shrooms are weird. Tripping is weird. The time-space continuum is weird and it's not really anything like it seems it is, for starters.
