Would someone please tell me if milk jugs are safe to use in extractions? My mason jar lids are eroding and need something else. I do not have another solvent to replace the Naphtha right now so I need to know what wokrs for Naphtha. I have examined many other forums across the web and there is too much conflicting opinions out there.
I need a straight forward answer from somebody who knows their stuff and has personal experience to clarify this container confusion.

The best container to use is HDPE 2 plastic. Some milk jugs are HDPE but they're always too thin so I won't recommend it. I would recommend buying a gallon of vinegar, those jugs are perfect. Always look at the bottom of the container and confirm this symbol is on it and you'll be fine.

avoid glass and stick to the hdpe2, lye slowly etches glass and if you should decide to do your last few pulls heating the solution jars are prone to cracking.

Just bite the bullet and invest in some pyrex or borosilicate glassware.
An hour ago I was combining some older MHRB mush from pint mason jars into something else (I'm phasing out the usage of mason jars for this purpose) and one of the jars simply broke apart - the bottom literally fell out.
