A few questions - agar and PF cakes

Hey guys, I am new to cultivation and have a few questions that I think y'all can help me with.
I recently found some oyster mushrooms growing in my back yard. I have taken tissue from the inner stipe and made a clone/culture on agar dishes. I fought some contamination early on and have been able to transfer the good stuff away from the bad stuff and I feel pretty good about things.
So, my first question- what is the best way to transfer the mycelium to a PF style cake? It seems that many folks aren't fond of liquid cultures, so what is a better practice?
Second question- I will not be using glass jars to make my cakes. I will be using 5PP plastic containers. I have some 1/2 pint plastic containers, but I was curious if there would be a downside to using larger containers. In comparison, the half pints are round with about a 4" diameter and about 2.5" tall. The other containers I want to use are square. They are 8"x8"x2.5".
Thanks for takin the time to read this.

My two cents is might as well do another agar transfer, might as well feel extra secure when doing agar to grain. In my experience oysters love to grow on grain, I've tried wheat berries(never BRFV but I am sure they that would work fine), and then transferred to pasteurized straw in fruiting bags, then tear in a vertical line with a razor blade to fruit.
I think my way to grow oysters would be cheaper and more efficient than using plastic jars or whatever

Thanks for the input! I am still learning and will have to go read up on that method.
I don't mind doing another transfer or two, first.
The reason I am starting with BRF is that it appears to be the best for beginners. FWIW- I have SGFC, still air box, pressure cooker, an assortment of jars and plastic containers, micropore tape, syringes, etc. pretty much everything a noob would need for BRF style cakes. Brown rice is cheap enough, and I have a coffee grinder.
I'd like to get a grow under my belt with PF tek, and then I'll graduate to the next step.
