This is 1 of 2 gyms I have found. Its really strange they grow single like this. There is no more anywhere around??? But its really cute anyway.` The pics make the cap appear white but its more of a orange/yellow. I have been watching this little guy all week...

Given your location, the color and the fact thats it's growing by itself,I think G.luteus is a good possibility.

Ya I found some other pics that are identical to my pics. Why are they such loners?? 1 shroom every 2 weeks?? what the hell.
Are these actually worth saving?
I have read a bunch of stuff that say gyms are week and aren't worth a but then why do people cultivate them??

No no, yell at the mushroom "I HEARD YOU FUCKERS WERE WEAK!" then eat it. You will trip really hard cuz the mushroom gods are pissed.

I tryed to get some better shots of the cap but my camera wouldnt dull the glare from the sun, tryed to change the settings and try different angles too. I have a nice new sony 16.1 mp camera with tons of settings but can only get macro on 1 option??
Not sure bout the whole ev. setting or the iso settings. does any one know where I could find some info on settings besides the pic thread up top??
Oh yea, I went up the the hermit mushy and screamed as load as I could so all my neighbors could hear....but now they think im fukn nuts!!!

shade the mushroom from the (harsh, direct) sunlight (light) then take the picture.
