The pictures are 1000x3000 pixels if you click on them.

I found these growing off of hardwood near a river bank in New York. They look familiar to a psilocybe species I remember seeing but I'm not sure.

I found these scattered around and doubt they're anything but I'm not sure.

Not positive...but I think they are bracelet corts ...a cortinarius species not psychoactive and possibly poisonous. However, I would wait for a TI to chime in as I am usually wrong:blush:

It could be an active Gymnopilus species. I see some bluish/greenish bruising and the whole habitus seems to fit. BUT: Make a sporeprint to observe the color of the spores in deposit. NEVER eat/consume a mushroom that isn“t identified by 100% for sure. Please, read my "identification" only as a hint and wait for further idents from professionels!

p.s.: Smell, color of the flesh, bruising if injured, ...?

I tghink they are an active Gymnopilus species, but wait for a user who is more familiar with gyms to voice in on this. Spore deposit will be a rusty orange for Gymnopilus.

Hhhmmm.... You said these were growing off of wood, do you mean chips, a log or trees, or just woody debri? Some of them look like they just have forest duff on the base of the stipe.

The top species was all in one cluster

I found the bottom ones singularly in various locations
