All of these found on my lawn around houtex

candidate 1:

Habitat:
wood chips, tons at my house

Gills:
cream white

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
tan

Spore print color:
gray

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

the actual mushrooms are not this reddish theyre more of a tan

candidate 2:

Habitat:
wood chips/tree roots

Gills: unknown

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
gray

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

they're all closed like this, some smaller.  except a rotten one that was slightly open. too maggotty to print.

candidate 3:

Habitat:
wood chips


Gills:
white

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
dark spots are not dirt, the cap is velvetty soft

Spore print color:
white

Bruising:
orange-red, quickly decays to brown: see last two pictures

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.







i rubbed the left half with my thumb.

Agaricus sp.

I think that #2 is a Chlorophyllum.

I figured with the spore print being "grey" that they might be an Agaricus. I think they could easily be a Lepiota of some sort though.

First one is not M. oreades, but I can't remember where to place it right now.
Second one is Chlorophyllum species, habitat would suggest C. rhacodes.

Something probaby related to Gymnopus or Collybia. It's mostly the narrowly spaced gills, clustered growth, pinkish cap, texture of the stipe. I haven't even seen what the habitat was until now, woodchips certainly rule out M. oreades.
