I have a small Tupperware 14" x 11" and a larger one that is 36" x 14". The smaller one I am having issues getting the humidity to get above 85 percent. I have increased the perlite to 5" purchased 2 humidity gauges and installed a hydroponic humiditior in both tubs. The larger one is holding around 95 percent humidity but the smaller one will not go above 85. Both kits are on the floor and are at room temperature. I am wondering if putting heating pads ubderneath on low temp will do it. The only thing that differs between the two is that the larger one has a few holes drilled in it. These were both purchased as kits from a popular company. Thank you for any advice. We need to get the humidity boosted.

Try swapping the hygrometers in the FC's for a half a day and see if its just a faulty hygrometer. ( I have a box full )

Do you have holes under the bottom of the tub for air circulation through the perlite and carry it in through the air and tub

Both of these kits were purchased from different online kit makers. The large one has 5 holes drilled in it halfway up one side, the little one has none. I have been opening then up a couple times a day and fanning/misting. The idea with these is that you can grow in concealment and grow in dirty environments (supposedly) So I was wondering if putting the holes in there would raise humidity and/or defiet the dirty environment factor. :-)

I had purchased a second hydrometer and have two installed in the little box just to make sure. The thing I noticed is the big box has condensation on the lid where the little one does not.
