WBS; Contam or what? Thoughts?

I prepared 5 of these pint sized WBS jars according to Doc's tek about 10 days ago. A ton of the WBS seemed to have exploded during PC (I checked before PC and after simmer, and not many were exploded). Without realizing how much had actually exploded, I proceeded to inoculate the jars the next day. When I inoculated, I just injected 1cc directly in the middle of the WBS (which I now know isn't the best way of doing this). I am not yet seeing any visible signs of mycelium growth (unless that's what's going on here, and I'm just dumb). It is my understanding that when WBS explodes it gets mushy, so I was wondering if this is just the WBS turning to mush, contam, or what?

Thoughts?
Thanks Sgt

looks really wet... I don't really see anything yet. Check the bottom If you used spores that is where they will collect and likely grow first...

It didn't look that wet until all of the WBS completely settled (2-3 days after innoc). And yes, it was an MS inoculation. Additionally, the bottoms of the jars don't look any different than the rest of the jar. I haven't seen anyone else post any type of contam that looks like this so that's why I am curious as to what I should do with these jars.
On a side note, I prepared another 7 WBS jars and MS inoculated them (properly; down the side) a week ago tomorrow, and those are also showing no signs of growth. I am following the way that Tbagtag is doing it in their grow-a-long, and the moisture content seems correct based upon what I have seen. I know it can sometimes take up to two weeks to see the first signs of growth but what are the contributing factors to slow colonization of a jar?
Thanks Sgt

Yeah, do you have a filter on your jar or just injection ports?

I actually did open up one of the jars and smelled it. It didn't smell like any type of mold, just wet grains. It's not like there is any puddling in the bottoms of the jars either. It just seems that when the bird seed exploded in the PC and it settled, they released the moisture that was inside. Any idea?

I should have originally said this. I am not using an injection port. Rather I drilled about a 1/2" hole in the lid and stuffed with polyfill(In accordance with Doc's tek). inoculated through this hole, and it is big enough for GE(as it seems).

Based on what I said, do you think I have a proper amount of GE?
Other than that, I sure hope it's just excess water. So you think I should just put them back on the shelf and wait it out?

GE should be fine I would put them back on the shelf and wait like you said. But me personally I would give them a shake to distribute that water and the spores if they haven't germinated yet, because it could be a really long time before you see any signs

Awesome. The thing is, I shook them after coming out of the PC to distribute the water. I also shook directly after inoculation(I was told this would distribute the spores, which I later found isn't a good idea). You think shaking again will do anything?

eh, if you shook after innoculating then i would just let them be and watch those spots just in case.

This, the monokarotyc mycelium are going to have to hopefully find each other. Since they could be in the middle it could take weeks to see growth.
I also agree, your grains look too wet, burst, and are just pushed against the glass. Some of what you're seeing is the edges of the grain drying out, just like if you were to cut the peel of an orange.
I've seen worse pull through, might take a little longer than normal. Only major concern I have is shaking right after inoculation.

Ah, I see.
Well in that case I guess I will just wait it out. In the mean time I'm probably gonna noc up another half dozen quart jars (done properly this time) with p. cubensis ecuador.
Hoping for the best.
Thanks again.

no problem, and if you're worried about wetness, in general I make my grains sometimes a week in advance. They will keep at normal room temp, and gives them extra time to dry should I get them a little too wet.

Well I prepared the grains pictured here according to Doc's tek and this is the result. I recently prepared another couple jars according to the tek in your grow-a-long and those seem to have the perfect water content. Definitely something I will try though!

As requested.

Enjoy the ego boost!
Also, what are your thoughts on using the coffee filter around the top? I currently have 2 of them on there because of something I read looking around the forums. Do you think they are actually useful in some way?
