Flavoring Spice Blends?

Im making some of my own spice, using 50 grams damiana leaf, and 1 gram of some really quality jwh-018. I've got the whole process down, but im just looking for some new ways to flavor the blend. Ive done plenty of searching. And i've got a few flavoring ideas. But im just looking for a few more, so i can find something that really works for me. Some ideas I already have for adding flavor are mint tea (added to the damiana leaf before spraying with jwh solution) honey, vanilla extract, or tasty puff tobacco flavoring(added to jwh solution prior to spraying damiana.) I havent tried flavoring my blends before, so im not sure what would be the best to flavor with, or the amounts I should use them in. Anyone have any experience with this? Or have any ideas?

I really like peppermint personally for the menthol flavor but not everyone likes that you either do or you don't it seems. I use raspberry leaf as well which is nice but not very strong.

I don't know how it would turn out, but I love to flavor things using Ginger.

Awesome. Peppermint sounds great, I love the cool/menthol types of flavors. Ginger sounds like it might be good for a more "spicy" spice. Thanks for the great ideas, keep 'em coming. Im gonna have to get to testing..

Incorporate lavender oil into your blend, trust me.

I agree, I love the aroma of lavender. I haven't ever heard of it being put in a smoking blend though. Im guessing you mean lavender leaves, not the lavender aroma oil, correct? It doesnt seem like the oil would be good to smoke haha.

Lavender aroma oil is fine, as long as you're sure it's 100% pure lavander oil. If it's lavender flavored oil, stay away.

Okay, thanks a bunch, everyone. Im going to try out the lavender, and the peppermint. Maybe a mix of the two for a cool lavender flavor would be nice? And if it was too strong/overpowering, some marshmallow leaf could cut that down. I'll just have to get a nice ratio of damiana/marshmallow leaf/peppermint leaf/lavender figured out before I incorporate the jwh into the blend. That sounds like exactly the flavor im looking for.

I've puffed on a blend that had lavender oil added to the acetone and jdub before it was sprayed onto the leaves via airbrush. I don't remember the exact blend used but it had marshmallow leaf, lavender, mullein, and skullcap. Add some lavender oil and various jdub compounds to acetone and spray on with airbrush. This method is superior to soaking the leaf then evaporating imo because the smoke is smoother and the mixture stays fresh and green. I assume this is because all the chlorophyll is not extracted in the soak then re deposited on the blend leaving it with a black tary texture. I'm no expert on this I'm just relaying what I've learned through watching my buddies company manufacture their product.

It should say something like "100% pure essential oil" on the bottle.
The brand I use is called Aura Cacia.
You can get it here.

Awesome, thanks guys. You've been extremely helpful. I'll make the blend, and let you all know how it turned out. The lavender was a great idea

How much oil would you recommend adding to the mixture to make it pleasantly present? Pick a number between 1 and 10 mL

You can use Cooking Extracts as well, this particular website carries anything from Blueberry to Banana, even Tropical Punch:
Tropical Punch Extract
Blueberry Extract
Banana Extract

You'd be surprised how potent these extract oils are. Really add some serious flavor and aroma.

How many milliliter of solution and how many milliliter of essential oil are used for a 28g batch of herbs? What's the right ratio?

This is awesome. I've never even thought about making my own blend. Are you selling it or are you going to smoke it yourself? I smoked a spice blend called Biohazard for a year and a half because I was in ROTC with fear of a random drug test. I eventually gave up and just smoked bud on the weekends, because I believe the high is better, longer lasting, gentler, and it tastes far better. I'll probably never smoke any kind of spice again honestly, which is why I'm curious, but the idea of making a personalized blend is intriguing.
