Mushrooms stopped growing.

On my first grow only two of my cakes made it to the fruiting chamber. I only dunked for 12 hours and after about a week cake #1 started pinning. after four days there were three mushrooms and about two or three more pins. That was a week and a half ago. They are still the same size. The caps are not open fyi. Any ideas? The Mushrooms on cake #2 started growing this weekend and are bigger than cake #1. I can get a camera and take some pictures if that would really help anyone.

yes that's exactly what will help.
Did you roll in verm after dunking. What kind of fruting chamber do you have and if you have one is it built to SGFC tek standards? Maybe you got the water content of your cakes wrong. Pictures!

Yes I dunked them in Verm. My tank is SGFC standards with a built in mister and fanning device. What do you mean water content wrong? The picture with the mushrooms on top is Cake #1 and the one with them underneath is Cake #2. The pictures are huge so I'll just link the album. http://imgur.com/a/TdC4Q

Ditch the fan and sprayer. Then it will be to standards, and will most likely solve your problem. You will never build up enough/any humidity with that thing going.

And you need more perlite in there.

in my opinion the fan and mister destroyed your cakes. I would start over. The SGFC needs no humidifier (it already has perlite) and no fan (built to use convection currents and natural air movement). The SGFC is a result of not a single persons automated humidification/fanning cake fruiting chamber ever working that's why it's so simple. I'm sorry you felt like you needed to complicate it and spent that much money ruining your cakes.
as for the water content wrong you I mean during the making of your cakes but it looks like you got everything perfect except over thinking your fruiting chamber.
These are the first cakes I ever made. These ones look like shit compared to subsequent ones where I misted and fanned correctly. Even with only the properly built fruiting chamber these look great compared to those cakes you posted.
They cost less and made more.
What do you want to do? I would rebuild that thing with only the directions.
Edit : You also shouldn't even have any fan running in the same room as your fruiting chamber. Let alone attached to the damn thing. And yes also more perlite too. Your holes also look to be more like 3-4 inches apart they should be more like 2 inches and on all six sides if not already.

How often do you actually mist and fan, and what do you use for both? The humidifier and fan on the case are not running 24/7 fyi they are automated to kick on at certain times of the day.

I think what people fail to realize is that it's not automation that's the hard part. It's that your automation needs eyes and a brain attached to them to work. Or I'm sure google's robot that drives cars could be adapted.
I mist with a spray bottle that makes a fine mist and I fan with the lid. I try to do it at least every 6 hours aside from when I sleep then its 8 hours. Sometimes as much as 5-10 times a day which means every 5-2.5 hours depending on how the cakes look and the weather changes. You're trying to make evaporation from the substrate happen. The mist gets everything wet and replaces the lost moisture from natural drying. Then immediately after misting you fan to get the evaporation started again. This is what most of the trusted people refer believe is the major pining trigger with things like light and temperature being secondary or tertiary triggers, the likes of which certainly help for max efficiency but are not essential. This kind of mimmics nature in that being a tropical species it receives rain and then heavy sun and drying albeit we are doing it faster. The mushrooms in nature always come after rain which is like a soak and dry. I would take this explanation with a grain of salt as I'm sure someone could find something wrong with this explanation but it's what we do and it's easy and it makes the best yields you'll see from PF cakes.

I just timed myself. Took less than 30 seconds (28) to mist and fan. So probably about 10s for misting and 20s for fanning.

Alright thanks man. Ill try your method on my next grow here in a few days. The only problem I can foresee is that I work 6am till 7pm and some nights later. How will not being able to mist/fan during the day affect the grow?
