First, [Experimental] Trays -Growlog :D

Ok - hello everyone, going to try and keep this short and simple. Thank you everyone who has given me advice on this site I learn something new everyday! *I will have updated pics everyday(I hope)* I've grown bags before with great success with 3+ flushes out of both my bags using b+. I'll post pics of one of the last flushes I took pics of.
this is the last flush I got out of themadseasons grow bag

this is another tiny experiment using wet paper towel as the bottom, I just threw in the cut off pieces of stem where I twisted from substrate. and surprisingly it took off.
I'm starting this grow log, it will be my first - so there will be numerous edits & picture posts. I've already have been conversating with some moderators on this site as well as trusted cultivators about what I'm doing.
Which is: brf+verm cakes crumpled into bulk brf+verm in a aluminum 2lb trays (2) one has the lid with holes with polyfill and tape over it till fruiting time, the other just has aluminum foil covering the top. I did the transfer in pretty damn still air in my room, closed vents & sprayed Lysol. Waited awhile to settle then went at it.
*now they all said to do the right thing and do coir/verm/gypsum, and the other forsure work ways. But im doing this as sterile as possible so it MIGHT work. Again my post title says *experimental* it looks good so far, its been in my closet since 9/9/13.
Let me tell you how freaking great those cakes smelt when I popped em out of the cup and into the mixing bag :') Thank anyone in advance for helpful criticism and advice, will be posting pics.
this is tray1 w/ lid w/ polyfil in holes with tape over them for now till fruiting. -

this is tray2 along with tray1 in closet colonizing with a blanket under and over (still with space available for g.e.)

this is a pint jar I will be using to noc up some other brf jars once its done colonizing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: 09/12/13 : 6:50AM - I just looked at the tray1 and might I say it looks great. very healthy. pics are VERY hard to take because theres moisture inside and I REALLY do not want to take lid of till 100% it looks to be anywere from 40-65% colonized right now. (QUESTION to the people who think it might contam. - how long does it usually take for that to happen? 8:00PM : here are some pics, there is a lot of moistre inside, shold I take one or two of the pieces of tape from top? there like 3-4cm holes up there.. still no signs of contam(knock on wood)

EDIT 9/13/13 1:10AM - tray 1
tray 2 w/ alum. foil. I think the lid is better on tray 1, because it shows more growth then #2
9/13/13 : 4:30AM : this is tray 2 with some fuzzy lookin myc- can anyone tell me if its okay or not?
UPDATE 9/13/14 : 11PM - tray 1 lookin good!

tray 2, not so good, it dosnt look that grey-ish in real life... I took peroxide on a qtip to see if it would melt but it didn't... I still took as much of it off as I could after I took the pics, under the fuzz it looked like a whole bunch of black tiny dots.-what is that? and SHOULD I TRY AND CUT THAT PART OFF THE SUB?

took pics couple mins ago 4:30pm 8/15/13 hows the myc lookin on both? **and is it ok for it to run up the sides like that? - what out lie the ice sycle looking things coming up? is that the forming pins?**
tray 1:

tray 2:

UPDATE 4:00AM Tray 1

Tray 2

EVERYTHING SMELLS LIKE IT SHOULD, IM STILL SPRAYING H2O2 EVERY 12HRS OR SO.

If you've got BRF in your tray there is a huge chance that they will fail. I don't know why people refuse to take advice, especially on something so basic.
But at any rate, good luck.

Yea brf as a substrate is way to nutritious it's going to contaminate all over the place on you. Use coir+verm and pasteurize it if you want to spawn a PF cake to bulk in a tray.

You have the sanitary conditions birth your cake without it ever touching air then crumble without touching air then mix with the substrate that has been sterilized and transferred to your sterile environment without becoming not sterile? and then it colonizes in sterility as well? But you don't have the 4$ it takes for a brick of coir at any pet store?

No info for ya but I'm definitely interested in seeing the results. Best of luck. Unrelated question, were the B+ you grew potent for the most part? Or did it vary?

The potency of B+ will vary if it's a multispore inoculation. I'm sure I've grown more B+ than the op and sometimes they're great sometimes not.

I see, so isolation is the way to go for B+, huh? Don't mean to hijack the thread, but thanks for replying, bodhisatta.

so for all the moisture in there, should I open 1 or 2 of the holes on top? or just leave it? I think im going to fruit either tomorrow or saterday, I looked at the tray a min ago and it was pretty damn white!

I don't have a direct answer for you, save to say that if the moisture in there creates pools of water on top of the substrate, it's bad news bears.
