Mystery or Mushroom? (You Decide)
    #18829108 - 09/11/13 06:11 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

This came off a brf cake. I want to say it might of ben P.E (But I'm not 100% sure.) Anyways, I let this cake go for to long (over a month) and never put it in a F.C.

This cake never had any visible signs of contamination and always appeared to have healthy strong mycelium.

Anyways, this is what I found on the side of the cake. It smells like a mushroom... but I'm just not sure. Also, I see small blue bruising spots on it but it doesn't bruise blue when ripped apart... so weird...

It's completely solid... It was growing off the mycelium. It smells like a mushy.. I'm baffled. That's the whole chunk of it that was taken off the cake, it was growing perfectly on it.
