What's your commute?

Do you drive, walk, bike, take a train to work/school? How long does it take you to get to your destination? Where do you live (city, suburbia, small town, in a cave, etc).
I live out in The Woods and am applying for jobs... Looks like my shortest commute time is going to be 40 minutes by car. That's only slightly more than the previous job I held.

Drive about 30-35 min, work at home a few days of the month. I have to be on the road by 7AM though or that commute goes to like an hour.
I'm ok with it. 45 min starts pushing it, you'd have to really compensate me to commute more than an hour.

15-20 minutes each way. I hate it being that long. Some people i work with drive 60-90 min each way, what a waste of time.

Used to be a 5-10 minute walk in a city
Now I've moved and I should be starting a new job soon. About 20-30 minute car drive in what I guess is the suburbs.

Depends on the day and my mood. I manage 2 different shops; one is a 15 minute bike ride, and the other is a 20 minute drive. But lately I've felt under the weather so I've been making the bike trip by car, reducing it to 5 minutes.
And I live in the pharmaceutical capital of the world (probably not a true statement, but one of Pfizer's main production plant is in my town).
I hope to move to the forest soon. I'm sick of listening to that plant create bullshit drugs all day and night long.

yeah, I'm really not liking the fact that all the jobs I'm qualified for (social work) are a 40 minute drive away from where I currently live. I live way out in the country, so it's expected. The bummer is that it currently doesn't make sense for me to move, so I gotta make the most of what I have right now.
That means lots of podcast time, I guess

Sometimes Everday I smoke pot to make the commute more relaxing. Traffic sucks, but isn't so bad when you have good music and are stoned.

I live in DC and work one block away from my apartment. This is, hands down, the absolute most invaluable aspect of my life. Some people I work with:
- Drive to the train station
- Ride a train to Union Station
- Ride a metro car from Union Station to their work metro stop
- Walk XYZ number of blocks to the office
I, on the other hand, wake up 20 minutes before I Need to be in my desk, and I go home for poops at lunchtime. My commute is nonexistent and it's glorious. I used to have a very short commute, 35minutes - one metro line - and a few blocks walking. Relative to my shit now, that was miserable.

well i left my most recent job ( ) but it was about a 20 min commute, and the most relaxing part of my day in many respects especially on the way home.

I drive about 25 minutes one way, and I live in the city. Sometimes I travel 3-8 hours away a few times a month.
