From the page you linked.
Quote:
Highest estimate 72,000,000 World war II
Quote:
Highest estimate 100,000,000 Taiping Rebellion
Notice the 5 sources next to the Taiping data, most sources on the page. Sorry kinda shot yourself in the food there with that one buddy.

World war 1 and World war 2 were the same war essentially . In fact I dont think World war 1 ended.
Things like the allies involvement during the second Russian civil war.
Japan invading Manchuria. Soviets invading Finland.
All the end of World war 1 did was set up for World War 2.
If you take those deaths in account then its well over 100 million.
Just over the course of several decades.
Not sure how long the Taiping Rebellion lasted but the Russian civil war claimed at least 8 million lives in Russia in a period of less then 5 years.
In fact allied involvement during the Russian civil war is seen as the main reason Stalin didnt trust the allies during w.w. 2 .

Yeah, but only around 17 million (only) lost their lives in WWI and around 72 million (top end estimate) died in WWII. Still short of the Taiping Rebellion's incredible 100 million deaths.

Ah but you forgot the russian civil war 8 million
Russians invasion of Finland 1 million.
And Japanese expansion 100k to 1 million.
So that puts it on par with the Taiping Rebellion.
Also during this time the ottoman empire was done and broken up so many people starved and smaller minority groups were killed.
But still 100 million in less then 20 years. fucking nuts. wonder what percentage of the population that was at the time.
I also wonder what war was mostly lethally per capita?

World War 2 is the biggest most important war fought in modern history. i don’t even know how you could argue that.
Britian lost its empire, Europe was destroyed, America solidified itself as the undisputed new world power, Still this day too, mind you.
What the fuck did the Taiping rebellion do that has any relevance on the world at large? China is still to this day backwards as shit and lost in the past. That 100 million number is about 5 times to large too. In the excerpt that it seems like no one read it says the commonly agreed upon number is 20 million, which is still huge but come on......

I would argue that the American Revolution was the most important war fought in history as its outcome had the most profound effect upon the formation of future governments.

I'd argue that the Falklands war was the most important war fought in modern history.

Your voyeurism, while certainly flattering, isn't going to deter or encourage me from engaging in any particular behavior. I'd suggest violence, or the threat thereof, as a far more effective means of behavior control.
