Trichocereus collection ID
    #18824500 - 09/10/13 05:54 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

So I have been growing cacti for a while and just want to ID my collection. Thanks for any help.

My collection-

#1 I was told this was a san pedro and I was also told that it was a named clone.

#2 I was told this was a peruvian torch.

#3 I was told this was SS03 a hybrid of some sort.

#4 I was told this was a bridgesii.

#5 I was told this was a bridgesii.

#6 I was told this was a bridgesii "Monstrosa".

#7 I was told this was a peruvianus.

#8 I have no idea what this is.

Shit that was alot of photos. Thanks again.

Those IDs are proper as far as I can tell. That "penis plant" bridgesii is fucking bad ass. How many seasons of growth did it take for it to pup that many times?

Nice plants, seems to be what you have written.

Cactus on the last pic.. How old it is? ..I meant if it's young ID is hard cause everything looks very similar to certain point of their life before they starting to show their mature appearance.

Is that cactus in the picture number #8 a trichocereus seedling?

Also your bridgesii and pachanoi plants looks very interesting.

Cactus at photo #5 you said sold as bridgesii, I doubt that.. The style of appearance is just not fitting the information there is around about species of t. bridgesii..

Instead of number #4 cactus is certainly t. bridgesii and very beautiful one, see the spine amount what there is and bridgesii usually lack radial spines, that doesn't fit to cactus at pic number #5 ..Could it be some sort of peruvian torch cactus?..there is too much of radial spines to define it to t. bridgesii. I can be wrong with this too..

Otherwise, very nice collection and t. bridgesii at pic #4 seems offshooting nice amounts of new pups from base, soon it's full of branches  :gangsta:

Nice collection you have there :awesome:

Thanks for all the good feedback.

I got the "Monstrosea" when it only had 3 or 4 pups and that was probably a year and a half ago or so.

#5 is my favorite one that was grown from seed it was supposed to be bridgesii but I think you guy are right it seems more like a peruvianus.

Yes #8 was seedling as well but it is a few years old and about 8" in height at the moment.

Thanks. Now that I have a better idea of what my cacti are I can feel more comfortable trading some of them and expanding my collection.
