GF moved in with a guy roommate.

So how should i feel about this situation? It has been tearing me apart inside
Me and my girl have been dating for about a year and a half now. We work together as well as this guy. Me moving out right now isnt an option.
I mean i know this is a relief on her end here are the reasons she moved.
-She lived kind of far from our job with no rides ( the apartments are right behind our job ) -Closer to my place=gas saved
Now I just cant get over the fact of her living with this guy...Its not so much that i dont trust her, i just cant stop these thoughts from running through my head when im not near her. like what is she doing, who is over, etc.
He constantly has groups of friends over ( which are all guys also ) to smoke and get fucked up. I feel like letting her moving into that environment is just setting myself up for something to happen, even though she told me not to think of it like that and that its for "us".
I dont know shroomery, help me out. its tearing me up inside right now. Im going to see her later on today, i dont know what to say.

she's going to get drunk one night when like 4 or 5 guys are over, once she's drunk they'll offer her pot. After that, her pussy is forfeit. I'd be paranoid as fuck too man.. I've been with my lady for 6 years and I still get edgy when she goes to the bar with her single friends because even though I trust HER, I don't trust booze and men in general.

first two posters have trust issues and should probably break up with their girlfriends to save themselves heartache. lack of trust will cause her to resent you, her resenting you will cause her to seek out others, seeking out others will cause her to cheat on you, and then we'll be here on the shroomery 18 months down the line consoling you for your loss.
or something like that.

QFT. And usually this stems from one's own inability to trust themselves in the same situation. If you'd cheat on her if you were living in a house of girls that was just the same, then you guys shouldn't be together.

Would you let your GF or wife live with another man? What if this man was better looking, had more money, and more charisma?
I don't care how much a man trust his female partner, temptation sometimes makes good people do the wrong thing.
So why create the temptation in the first place? All it does is potentially open up a can of worms.
Trust is one thing, but creating an environment full of temptation is just going against basic commonsense.

Wouldn't be cool with it, its not a trust issue I doubt very many people would be naive enough to be cool with it. If its an open relationship than sure but not monogamous.

Absolutely comfortable because I trust her. If I didn't trust her the relationship would already be all but over. I could live with a 10/10 model and I wouldn't be unfaithful to my partner, and I trust her to do the same.

Yup. Trust issues. And it's something you really should look into / get counselling for because jealousy / trust issues destroy relationships.

Trust her. If she cheats, it's on HER. If she ignores the other dude, then that's the NORMAL reaction. But if you want the fastest way to piss her off, call you out on your level of trust, and lose wicked amounts of cool points (possibly ending your relationship then and there); then by all means assert your status and belittle her judgment and trust.

Look at it like this, you either start to trust her (shes with u for a reason) and let it go or continue to hold onto the trust issues and it will eat away at you until it causes totally unnecessary problems for you both.
Here's the catch... If she lives with you or not (I understand she doesn't) and isn't going to be monogamous then it doesn't matter where or who she lives with. If this is something she does or is willing to do then she's going to find a way to do it without you knowing regardless. I know this statement doesn't help the paranoia however I've been in your shoes and well you're going to go fuck nuts crazy if you hold onto this thought.
There's no point in stressing over something like that because you can't control it. Thing about that though is with dishonestly like that in a relationship there are obvious signs of change, whether it be big or small, in the relationship itself. People don't just change the way they do something all of a sudden for shits and giggles... You'll see other signs far before you actually find out that this might be something happening.
Have faith and make the best out of what you have. Trusting that shes doing the right thing will in turn provide you with a more confident persona and well, woman like a man that's confident Questioning her or coming off as insecure ends up being a huge turn off and well shes likely to do what you dreading.
Best of luck! Mosey

If it was my lady I know for a fact she would never cheat but I would still be FAR from okay with that. Man up and move the fuck out with her or risk letting that pussy get around.

honestly... what the hell is the problem?
What is it?
Because the GF has unlimited access to a non-related male sex may occur?
She will bust herself if anything ever happens and you have a life long pass to live with another girl without any awkward conversation.
I would never have hooked up with my female roomies, they all meet the physical requirements but sex with them was never on my mind. Its like having a step-sibling really.
The last one I had was great looking, and has a fun personality. We would get wasted all the time, go out, be there for each other etc., but never sexually intimate. She was always down to dance w me at parties, and then 10 sec later talk me up to random babes. It became a thing where she was basically hooking me up with other girls she approved of, because hearing that Im a cool guy from another normal, decent looking girl was a big character reference.
My gf's have always been friends with the girl roomie, and I always hung out with the gf's guy roommates. Living with a guy, however, is more difficult. Most of my guy roommates have cock blocked me 10 times over, and one of them started banging my ex while we were dating.
Women are better to live with in all honesty.
If your girlfriend fucks her male roommate she's a dumb ass, rule number one is dont fuck your roommate. Dont even bang your neighbors if you can help it. The last thing you want in life is a legal contract committing you to X amount of time living with/next too a disgruntled lover. Take my word on this.
One of my girl roomies has been casually naked on the beach as I was present, and even slept in the same bed a few times (when both single, and once with me her and a girl I dated together), and I shit you not, the thought NeVeR crossed my mind.
A guy that wants to be more confident about women and/or relationships should have at least 5 decent looking chick friends that are never more than friends. It will teach you things you never imagined about women and how to be a cool person. If you dont have arguably attractive friends of the opposite sex, you probably cant handle real relationships, and are probably pretty bad with getting with girls you want to bang.
I read into the subtext of this convo I guess, but more to the point:
Guys living with girls will sometimes want to bang them, I get that, but the reality of how it plays out is either telling of the fact your in a shitty relationship with said girl, or the dude becomes completely uninterested in her which is pretty much a life sentence once you've aired everything out.
If the guy is never with any other girls you might be in trouble, but if hes friendly with the Bf, hangs out with the BF, or otherwise seems like he isnt a whiny beta male, chances are he would reject her if she ever came on to him, IME.
Again tho, why would you be in a committed relationship if there was a serious threat from a co-habitating male? Commitment is difficult sometimes, and a pain in the ass in others. Why why why be committal without trust, openness, and respect between both lovers?
Does anyone really think the guy would bang the roommate, and then just sit in the other room when the boyfriend sleeps over twice a week. Shit would be awkward. There's always an exception but trust yourself to be the judge. If sex does happen, she was going to cheat anyway and you were helpless to start with.

I had my own house at 18, so ya that.
I guess my advice here is if you're college aged you should be living with members of the opposite sex, at least for a year.
Chicks are almost always into the fact I have girl roommates, or girls over all the time. Even when we are in a committed relationship. It works out great for the girl because my chick roommates would rat me out in 10 seconds if they didnt like my girlfriend and I was acting shady.
...and they would rat on me for cheating in 9 seconds if they were friends with my girl.
So win-win for my girl, and I better not be an ass to either of them if they're friends (so win win win for my girl.)
If you're the guy, you want to make sure your girlfriend isn't living with some date raping, sociopath that will fuck her continuously behind your back.
Fortunately for me Ive trusted the girl im with in that situation, and the prospective male roommate has always felt the need to break the ice with a "bro im not going to try and fuck your girl" conversation. It usually starts out with a bowl and a conversation about the guy's girlfriend; Then ends with "dude, I just need a place to live and im glad you're cool with this. Lets watch the game."

This. I would just ask her not to get super drunk when she's with a group of guys without you. My old girl got really wasted at a party after I left and ended up banging a dude because she past the point of making good decisions. Don't worry about her just moving in with a guy though.
