I'm pretty much ready for my mycology experiment, pc, grain, spores etc... I just wanna get started sooner than later. I will purchase some filter patches here soon but would like to get a batch going now, so any personal experience or preferred teks links would be much appreciated and Iam talking about making jar lids

If you already have patches on the way there is no reason to shave a couple days off to use tyvek or polyfill.
It really doesn't matter what you use, as long as it filters the gas exchange properly, you can use whatever floats your boat.

I haven't ordered my filter patches yet, so I'm looking for personal experience with tyvec and pollyfill lids and then a preferred tek for the preferred method.

Either works fine.
If polyfill causes problems, usually it is too loose. You need to stuff that hole as tight as you possibly can make it
You should feel resistance if you push a needle through it.
If you use tyvek, use two layers.
If you use one layer tyvek or too loose polyfill, you risk drying out your grains too quickly and contamination.

If you were familiar with the search function you wouldn't be asking such questions, I already answered your first question now you want your hands held through the rest of the process? You want a tek? There are plenty of good teks here.
Frank has one. Violet has one. Cervantes has one. Stonesun has one. Tons of others have one.
There are plenty of good teks and not doing your own homework will lead you to fail the test.

Use SFD patches. They are hands down the best. Tyvek doesn't last as long and polyfil is just kinda ghetto to me. LuLz! I'd never trust it to be an acceptable filter, but I know people have had luck with it.

Ok, come on man. Uncool.
This forum is mainly composed of questions from new cultivators who ask the same questions again and again.
All they are looking for is up-to-date answers instead of sifting through bullshit.
Don't be rude man. When I first got here, I asked a ton dumb questions. I just wanted someone to sort out the massive overload of information I was receiving.

What type of tyvek did you use? Genuine dupont tyvek suit material? Dupont tyvek kite material? Dupont tyvek envelopes?
You have to make sure it is not knock off tyvek. The only proper tyvek is a DuPont product, the tyvek will say so (bragging about it even).
If you used the proper tyvek and you used two layers...and your seals were not compromised...it sounds like you might have a different cause for your issue.

Really, that half a paragraph is what you are referring to?
Be more clear next time, quote the parts that encompass what you are trying to say about lids.
Because I counted six very short sentences in quite a long post. That's easy to miss, esp for the new member.
No, I haven't been drinking.
It seems more like you wanted some hits on your post while the OP searched it for what you are talking about
Just tell him about your lids next time, stick your link alongside it. Your grow log is about p. tampanensis, not lid design.

sorry frank, i'll go back and edit it....
shame on me
actually screw that, it will take more time to edit that link into a coherent reply than i wanna take. it makes more sense to me to just leave it to the OP to either take the input given or leave it.

I wasn't trying to make a big deal of it.
I really didn't see the six sentences about the lid design in your post when I skimmed it.
I thought maybe you misread the OP
